We’ve talked before about the importance of creating a solid business plan before you hang your shingle, but creating a marketing plan is almost just as important. Without proper marketing planning and consideration, you could end up selling to the wrong group of people, setting your pricing way off-base, or exposing critical flaws that could hinder your small business.
A good marketing plan is the product of both primary market research and secondary market research. It helps you to understand your marketing objectives, exactly who you want to sell to, what your customers want and need, and what strategy will best help you meet these goals.
